my craft room

so my office/craft room is getting there, but still have some updates to make! my printer is sitting on the floor for now, but eventually i'd like to have a cart. some other updates include a new desk and bookshelf. so far i'm happy with progress and love having a room of my own to create :)

OUR WEDDING

I feel like a terrible mother who neglected her blog :( I have cobwebs on my blog, twitter and in my house. :) The details of our wedding have consumed me for many months. What a whirlwind! It's crazy that all the planning and stress goes by, in what feels like a matter of minutes. Good thing we hired a fabulous photographer (Khara @ Kabloom Studios) to capture all the tiny details that we cherish so much. (did i say- we LOVE our photos) In fact we were very lucky to have a group of tremendous vendors- Multiple last minute tents and heaters (Classic Tents and Events), beautiful flowers and help (Lisa and Michelle @ the perfect wedding).

Even though the weather was the worst of September and it hasn't rained a drop since our wedding day (not bitter) I wouldn't change a thing! The day was absolutely perfect. Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.

If there are any followers out there (anyone?) I promise to keep postin! Hopefully a redesign of my blog in the near future as well :)

i think this dress would be perfect for a wedding shower or any special occasion. love the texture on the dress and of course the flowers! i have a feeling this dress would be very slimming as well. :) bonus.

our new addition :: baby lucy

how could you not fall in love her! we adopted lucy from a wonderful organization called Pug Partners of Nebraska. her mother trinity was rescued and had 6 adorable babies. if you are in the midwest and want to adopt a pug i recommend this organization. i cannot believe how much joy that my pugs (lucy has a 2 year old brother gus) have brought into my life- they bring so much laughter, kisses and cuddle snuggles. lucy is adjusting very well in her forever home :)

how adorable would this little character be covering your light switch! read the reviews to see it would be a good fit - sounds like if you have a big opening around your switch this guy might not work very well. but- if it does, it will be a sure stand out in the room. check it out here. pottery barn look alike :: target

I love finding cheap look-alikes! This time I found a pottery bar look-alike at target! the photo of the target lamp does it's self no justice. (prettier in person) Pottery Barn site has great inspiration as far as what to decorate your lamp with! I haven't decided what to fill mine with, but I'll be sure to post pics, when I do.

sweet green succulents :: via clover & bee

last night I got together with two of my favorite gals in lincoln (christina and jo) and made a fabulous/dangerous craft. after many pokes and pricks, look at the final product! pretty impressive. this craft is easy and doesn't take much time at all (except for hunting down the perfect succulent/cactus). i recommend wearing some type of gardening gloves. i got most of the items at home depot and some of the plants at earl may. check out the how to at Clover and Bee.
